Colour plays a big part in the success of this display:

  • orange is a secondary colour (yellow + red). The yellow and pink would make an orange so these three colours are all part of the same range.
  • yellow and purple are complementary or contrasting colours, directly opposite on the colour wheel, visually enhancing the other.
